![]() The Red Colours: Represents strength and power along with the confidence and desire to progress to the highest level possible The Grey Colours: Represents grey matter which is associated with the brain.........in life you are full of colour, in death become lifeless and no colour.It is also a compliment to the Grey IKKA Patch under our current Kenpo Mentor Grandmaster Frank Trejo. The Black Colours: Represents the darkness, the Shodan Levels of Obtainment, knowledge known yet unknown, levels that one must move towards with patience, faith and the endless dark of the Universe which is endless, yet never ending, timeless and mysterious. The Blue Colours: Represents the colour of the heavens, considered Yang (positive) and unyielding. It is the colour of growth and power. The Gold Colours: Represents the colour of spirit, considered Yin (negative) and yielding. It is the colour of faithfullness and truth. The White Colours: Is associated with purity and truth, they are not self-serving and strive to further develop themselves both mentally and physically. The Tiger: Symbolic of the beginning stages of learning, the new student must be open-minded, respectful and determined. The Dragon: Symbolizes Spiritual Strength sought out by the more advanced Martial Artists. They have learned humility and self-control but continue to strive for perfection. The Arches: (Top) They serve as the roof and give shelter to all under it. (Sides) curved conversely like a Chinese home as to send evil back to where it came from. (Bottom) forms the shape of an axe, the executioner, if a member goes against the beliefs of what a true Martial Artists is, he is cut off and cast out never to co-exist with us again. They outter design is also in respect for the original IKKA Patch and its founder, Grandmaster Edmund K. Parker. The Universal Web: Represents every conceivable direction, path,angle or orbit that the hand or fist may travel, whether they are used singularly, simultanously, or in combination. It contains straight lines, curved lines, quarter circles, half circles, full circles, overlapping full and half circles, diamonds, rectangles, triangles, crosses, heats, figure 8's, octogons etc. It was created by the founder of American Kenpo, Grandmaster Edmund K. Parker and the interpetation is inthe eyes of the beholder. The Wolf: They are full of wisdom, loyal to the pack and exist for the many who follow. They ar the ony animals in Norht America able to communicate in a commercial group setting. In an attack situation they communicate through vocalization (sound) facial expression (emotion) and body movement (angle and direction). They are lead by a Alpha Male Wolf and a Alpha Female Wolf. They have exceptional eyesight and a keen sense of smell which can detect its prey long before it knows it has been discovered. They have a strong bond to Family with extended family branching out to brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, half -brothers and half- sisters etc. M.M.A.: (Modern Martial Arts) Represents a portion of all of the Combatitive Styles of Martial Arts compiled into one style (Kenpo) having no style,shapeless, formless yet tailored and able to adapt to an individuals needs of the streets today. You do not fit the Art, the Art fits you, openminded with beliefs and values based on your own truth of what is right and wrong. . .having no way as the way and taking oneself to his/her highest level of accomplishement possible and to never settle for anything less than ones best. |
